Mr Quang added, 'Our markets are changing towards more sustainable production and AGP free diets. Population growth, urbanisation and income growth are drivers for accelerated growth of the feed industry in Asia. Even as several countries have been challenged by African Swine Fever in 2019, but still the future looks bright for the animal feed industry in Asia, with a CAGR of around five percent in the next five years.

Hamlet Protein CEO Erik Visser concluded, 'In the past two years we have invested in our own sales organisation in China, headquartered in Qingdao, and can clearly see the impact of being close to our customers with talented industry professionals that fully understand the challenges of the local market. We feel strongly about the potential for our solutions in Asia and will focus on swine and poultry. Adding local managers in the Asian key markets, supported by regional and global technical experts, will most certainly allow us to realise further growth in the region. '

Hamlet Protein produces soy-based protein ingredients for young piglet, poultry and cattle feed at two production plants in Denmark and the US. Hamlet Protein services customers around the world through a network of own sales offices and distributors.
