FEFANA has welcomed Calpis Co., Ltd, a Japanese company producing beverages and probiotics for human and animal use as its first associate member.
Caplpis Co's., products are regularly exported and distributed in the European market. Didier Jans, Fefana secretary general commented, "We warmly welcome Calpis as our first associate member. Yhis is certainly a sign of how complex the global market is and the need for companies outside Europe to get closer to those working within the European fodd and feed law framework."
Russia’s food safety organisation has announced there is no threat to the country's grain following outbreaks of foot and mouth disease in the cereal-growing south.
Russia detected two incidents of foot and mouth in the North Caucasus area
and one in the Krasnodar region according to the agency, known as Rosselkhoznadzor.
