June 17, 2024 - Building on the success of the previous edition, this Grant will allocate €1 million over the next three years to fund research projects addressing key challenges in animal nutrition. Through this initiative, Adisseo aims to foster international collaboration among leading laboratories and drive innovation in the industry.
The selection process for this Adisseo Research Grant will be overseen by a prestigious Scientific Committee, with academic professors: Prof Richard Ducatelle, Veterinary Pathology, Ghent University (Belgium), Prof Yuming Guo, Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University, Beijing (China), Prof Mike Kidd, Center of Excellence for Poultry Science, University of Arkansas (USA), Prof Defa Li, Professor, China Agricultural University, Beijing (China), Prof Bruno Silva, Professor, UFMG Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil), Dr Japp Van Milgen, Senior Scientist, INRAe (France) and feed industry representatives: Dr Jaume Coma, Corporate Director for Vall Companys (Spain), Dr Carlos Kippert, Technical advisor in Swine for BRF (Brazil), Dr Mario Penz, Key Account Director for Cargill (Brazil), Dr Ferry Poernama, R&D Director for JAPFA (Indonesia), Dr Pairat Srichana, R&D Director for CP (Thailand), Dr Tom Weber, Technical Manager for Kent Nutrition Group (USA).

This committee will rigorously evaluate proposals to ensure that the selected projects will align with the grant objectives and have the potential to address complex industry challenges.
For this third edition, the grant will support projects investigating nutritional approaches for monogastric (swine and poultry). All the projects' proposals must justify how they are bringing significative sustainable solution to overcome one of the following challenges of the swine or poultry industry.
- Addressing the global challenges of climate change
- Applying the One Health concept in animal production
In the previous editions, Adisseo received an overwhelming response, with over 112 applications. Thanks to the expertise of their Scientific Committee, five projects were chosen as laureates.
This year, the pre-proposal application period is open from now - September 2, 2024. Following a rigorous evaluation process, the pre-selected research projects will be announced on October 21, 2024. The full dossier submission deadline in November 29, 2024, with the final laureates revealed on January 20, 2025.
