Russia is one of the largest producers of animal feed in the world. For several year now Russia has maintained an upward trend in compound feed production. In 2010 production saw an increase of nine percent compared with 2009.
Reports from the Federal State Statistics Service indicated that in May 2011 Russia produced 1,495,800 tons of compound animal feed, which was 10.2 percent more than in May 2010, and 1.2 percent more than in April 2011.
