The floods that have caused damage and left hundreds dead in south east Asia has also destroyed nearly 2.5 million hectares of crops warned the United Nations. Intense monsoon rain, typhoons and tropical storms have flooded areas in Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Also millions of animals have been killed and millions more are at risk from flood waters already spilling over dams.
