GFMT's publisher, Roger Gilbert chaired the first CropTech-FeedTech Debate on
'Digital Engineering in the Feed Manufacturing Industry' held at VIV
Asia in Bangkok on March 13, 2013. It involved six leading equipment
manufacturers.
Unlike previous seminars and conferences, the format of this event gave presenters just five
minutes to introduce their company and their leading technology before
they were asked to address specific questions about the application of
their new technologies and how they impact both the production of the
equipment itself and how they would benefit the end user. The result of
this 'debate' were revealing.
The meeting finished with an open session with the audience who had the opportunity to question the panelists and express their views. What a refreshing exchange of views we had!
As a result the panelists agreed that we should continue the 'debate' online. VNU, the organiser of VIV and VIV-sponsored events around the world, plans to offer the 'face-to-face' debate under the heading of CropTech-FeedTech at all its future events. In the meantime the discussion will continue online between events through a LinkedIn group called CropTech-FeedTech, which is kindly being hosted by VNU under VIV Corporate.
