Alltech are proud to announce the signing of a research alliance with Harper Adams University. The alliance will see the steering committee, comprising staff members from Harper Adams, work together with three Alltech staff on research partnerships spanning three years.
Alltech has successfully collaborated with a number of top academic institutions in the past, through twelve research alliances across the globe, in order to find sustainable solutions to the key issues facing the agricultural industry. This alliance represents one of three European connections and will bring together all parties involved by educating the next generation of scientist.
“We are really excited to work with Harper Adams University. They are a well established institution with a long tradition of working in the rural sector and their vision for the future is an excellent fit with Alltech’s,” said Dr. Jules Taylor-Pickard, solutions deployment team manager at Alltech.
AFIA have announced applications for the 2013 Feed Mill of the Year award are now being accepted. The program, which names a winner and a runner-up, recognises overall excellence in feed manufacturing operations emphasising safety, quality, regulatory compliance, operating efficiencies and overall industry awareness of food safety.
“Year after year, the Feed Mill of the Year awards program continues to grow. Increasingly, firms are finding value in being able to compare internal processes against those of other participating feed mills,” said Keith Epperson, vice president of manufacturing and training at AFIA.
