20/11/2014: NGFA's Model Feed Quality Assurance Program Courses available online

Since 1994, the program has served as a resource on how to develop, implement and enhance feed quality assurance practices at hundreds of feedmills.

http://www.ngfa.org

It is designed for use by feedmill managers to train existing and new mill operators, as well as other personnel (such as administrative and sales staff), on feed safety regulatory requirements and feed quality assurance practices.

The six courses - each approximately 45 minutes - can be taken individually or as a set.

Courses are:
  1. Current Good Manufacturing Practices
  2. Purchasing and Receiving of Grains and Feed Ingredients
  3. Feed Manufacturing and Process Control
  4. Pelleting
  5. Finished Feed Control and Product Investigations/Recalls
  6. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
