Bühler have released this video of the Swiss national Future Day at the company, which took place on November 13, 2014.
Children of some 85 employees in Uzwil accompanied their parents to work and had the opportunity to get to know their parents’ jobs better. Besides the workplaces, the kids also explored the Bühler premises on a guided tour and were, amongst other things, shown how chocolate is being made on Bühler machines.
In the apprentice workshop, the kids had the chance to tinker with a lantern.
The Future Day takes place once a year and is about offering children the possibility of browsing in gender-untypical occupations so as to break open the traditional role patterns.
