AgriMedia, published by Erling Verlag GmbH of Clenze, Germany is partnering Grain and Feed Milling Technology magazine in hosting ‘The Global Milling Conference with GRAPAS 2015’ set for June 11, 2015 in Köln, Germany – on the last day of the three-day Victam exhibition – at the city’s Messe.
AgriMedia, with its European-wide connections with millers– including flour and rice millers - is contributing in terms of programme development, identifying speakers and topics and promoting the event throughout Europe.
“We are very happy to welcome Dr Peter Erling, managing director of Erling Verlag and his team in joining us in this development,” says Roger Gilbert, publisher of GFMT magazine and organiser of the event.
“Having Peter with us will ensure we offer a meaningful program for European millers in particular and that the speakers are of a calibre to attract millers from their mills to Köln in early June next year. This is the first time we are hosting ‘The Global Milling/GRAPAS Conference’ in Europe and it’s important to engage with millers directly and Peter can assist us with this.”
It is also important to engage national millers’ associations throughout Europe, says Mr Gilbert. He adds that offering an opportunity for millers’ associations to meet in Köln via the conference and exhibition will add to the value of attending.
“And of course coming early to Köln will mean delegates will have the opportunity to visit the GRAPAS Exhibition which is co-located with the Victam Exposition and to attend some of the other side events on offer. I’d also like to remind delegates that there will be a GRAPAS Award again this time to recognise the most innovative development for millers that is on display in the exhibition halls.”
The programme will be offered in three parts to allow delegates to attend the exhibition as well during the day. However, the focus will be on attending a full-day programme that will offer sessions from Food Safety/Quality Control to Nutrition/Milling Technology to Markets/Storage & Handling.
The full programme and information on registration will be open from January 5, 2015 at http://www.gfmt.co.uk/grapas15. The whole day conference will cost €75/registration and include two coffee breaks (lunch is on the delegate’s own account) while individual sessions will be offered at €30/each. Hotel accommodation will also be available to book via the webpage along with links to flight details. If you would like to submit a topic and speaker for consideration for inclusion in the programme please contact Roger Gilbert at: rogerg@perendale.co.uk
