'Walk the Italian Way' - Ocrim's tour of Siena, Tuscany, Italy

A week is a long time in the milling industry. This time last week some 200 delegates were arriving in Tuscany from all around the world to attend Ocrim's 7th annual 'Wheat, Flour and ...'. This is a unique one-day conference that looks at the latest innovations from the company and links those developments to the industry either in Italy or to its markets abroad, and has become a must-attend event for customers and others.

Last year the 6th 'Wheat, Flour and ...' was co-located between Cremona and Addis Ababa in Ethiopia during the IAOM's first exhibition into the continent of Africa.

This company is engaging globally with millers and attracting them to 'walk the Italian way' by visiting Italy to understand it's uniqueness not only industrially but also culturally. To promote its global family even more, the company has launched a 'hotel' called HO (for Hotel Ocrim), a company guest house where any customer visiting Italy can stop off for refreshment, carry out administration work and relax in the city of Cremona. This was just one of the innovations announced last weekend in Cortona in Tuscany where this year's event was hosted.

Following the conference, delegates were invited on a walking tour of Siena, one of Italy's most visited medieval cities before having lunch in a quiet back street of the city.
