Officials expect to recover about half of the grain after a 40,000-bushel grain bin collapsed at an elevator in northeastern South Dakota, USA, the Star Tribune reports.
The bin at the Wheaton Dumont Co-op elevator in Britton developed a leak and collapsed on Sunday afternoon.
CEO Philip Deal said that the collapse also destroyed conveyors and other overhead equipment.
Wheaton Dumont has elevators in 10 communities and agronomy centers in four communities in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota, USA.
