This was stated by Mykola Azarov, prime minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov on 15 October in Kaluga, Russia. "We have agreed to establish a Grain Pool, and relevant documents are to be signed. It is extremely great progress in our relations," said Azarov.

In turn, Dmitry Medvedev, Russian prime minister said that creation of the Grain Pool between Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan will be extremely profitable, "because our countries are leading exporters of grains."

Finally, the ministers have succeeded to create common approaches. "I hope we can move forward- considering the fact that our countries are key grains' exporters in the world, creating new logistics chains will benefit our countries," said Medvedev.
