The International Association for Cereal Science and Technology, ICC, is seeking a motivated individual to lead the ICC Headquarters and manage the association and its affiliated businesses and projects.
The International Association for Cereal Science and Technology is the pre-eminent international association in the field of cereal science and technology, committed to international cooperation through the dissemination of knowledge, conducting research, and developing standard methods that contribute to advancing innovation, improving food quality, food safety and food security for the health and well-being of all people. Founded in 1955, it is a non-political, not-for-profit organisation with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
We offer a full-time position based in attractive, well-equipped government offices situated in the central business district of Vienna, Austria. The starting salary will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate (minimum 3,650.- € brutto 14 times a year = 51,100.- € brutto per year).
The position involves association management (administrative and financial), fund raising, developing and implementing members services, coordination of committees and working groups, project management and monitoring, event management/coordination, and overseeing communication and publication of website content, news items and scientific articles.
Responsibilities will involve office management (3-5 staff), personnel recruiting, staff and work flow management and output monitoring, contracts negotiations, day-to-day decision making with reporting to the association's Governing and Executive Committees.

- A degree (HTL, FH, or University) in one of the following areas is required: business/association management, business administration, international relations, communication, food science, food technology, quality control, life sciences, nutrition, food chemistry, biotechnology, agriculture, or similar.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in office management and/or research/production coordination/management.
Excellent command of spoken and written English and German is required and a working knowledge of an additional language would be beneficial.
Good computer literacy.
A friendly and open-minded personality with good communication and diplomatic skills.
A technical knowledge and/or strong interest in the food and cereal industry, in food/cereal science and technology, and in validation and standardisation of methods will be a positive asset.
An ability to oversee ICC's linkages and cooperation with other Standardisation Organisations (e.g. Codex Alimentarius, ISO, CEN) will fit well with the position's communication requirements.
