Cargill made an offer for the Dutch feed based company Provimi, the offer US$2.14 billion (€1.5 billion) which has been accepted. Both Cargill and Provimi have said that their companies are complementary to each other. Cargill beat off other rivals such as New Hope Group from China and DSM as well as Nutreco.
