Cargill and Mitsubishi are too form a new company jointly called AC Grain, LLC this will be a 50-50 joint venture that will operate and own Cargill's grain elevator in Indiana USA. This venture will make significant improvements in the Dana facility aimed at servicing farmer customers. While the work plan is still under development, the total investment is expected to exceed US$20 million (€14.033 million).
The modernisation should be completed by harvest 2013 and could possible triple the unload capacity and warehouse space for corn, soybean and wheat. Also the railtrack space will be increased from 65 cars to 90 cars and the rail load from 20,000 bushels per hour to 50,000 bushels per hour. Grain drying capacity will be quadrupled. Read more ...
