10/02/2015: Egypt has imported 1 million tonnes of Ukrainian corn so far this year

According to the official statistics, Egypt is one of the leading importers of Ukrainian corn. Since the beginning of the current season, the country has imported over 1 million tonnes of Ukrainian grain (against 2.3 million tonnes during the whole previous MY) out of total corn imports of 8.5 million tonnes.

Nibulon is one of the key suppliers of Ukrainian corn to Egypt. The company is one of the largest Ukrainian agricultural producers, investors and exporters, one of the leaders in the domestic agricultural market. The company's share covers 9.4 percent of the general grain export market of Ukraine.

According to APK-Inform forecasts, in the season-2014/15 Ukraine will export more than 19 million tonnes of corn - a little lower than the previous year (19.7 million tonnes).

Domestic production of corn for the same period is forecast at 28.45 million tonnes.

Since the beginning of the season (October-January) Ukraine has already exported 8.1 million tonnes. This year, Ukraine has the potential to export about 11 million tonnes of corn.
