08/10/2015: Traffic slows start to ILDEX Indonesia 2015

The eight mini-conference rooms were busy at ILDEX Indonesia throughout today as visitors took advantage of attending lectures on various poultry and dairy cattle management subjects, hosted by the organisers and companies. In fact, for many sessions there was standing room only.

Overall the 200-plus companies exhibiting at this year's biennial ILDEX Indonesia in JIE Jakarta were happy with the quality and number of attendees which started slow but built throughout the day as traffic connections around the city of Jakarta eased.

Despite an intention to begin early, local city traffic delayed dignitaries attending the planned opening at 09:00 and the audience had to wait an hour or more for a delegation headed by Professor of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Muladno Dirjen, Director General of CCT to arrive and officially open the event.

Tomorrow will be more of the same but with the added attraction of the Milling and Grain sponsored two-part conference called 'Global Milling and Genetics Conference 2015'. It will take place from 10:00 in Room 2 on the 6th floor of the Trade Centre which stands are the entrance to ILDEX.

Copies of both Milling and Grain and International Aquafeed magazines were taken up by those with an interest in feed processing.

The keynote speaker is Mr Jemmy Wijaya, Director at Charoen Pokhpand Indonesia. Our own Roger Gilbert will be one of the early speakers on the programme addressing the 'Need for a robust compound feed industry in a modern world.'

If you're in Jakarta and/or attending ILDEX then take the opportunity to take part in this interesting two-session programme tomorrow from 10:00.
