Scope
All presentations should be non-commercial in content and should address flour and feed milling industry innovations, standards, and trends.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
A. Technical
- Compare and contrast compact flour milling against standard flour milling
- Advantages of industrial milling of maize, teff, and sorghum and available technologies
- Challenges in the supply of wheat to flour mills in Ethiopia
Currently, there is no government or other body that make assessment on the yearly production before or after harvest that provides information to millers on the volume of wheat produced based on some standardised quality parameters.
There is no standard quality grading and pricing based on quality. A paper on the subject could help to understand the impact of the problem on the industry and initiate a further study that will recommend how to tackle the problem.
B. Pasta production
- Lack of trained millers and the need for flour milling technology training
- Durum milling, applied technologies
