Event: Bridge2Food 6th Protein Summit

The 6th Protein Summit has got underway in Rotterdam, the Netherlands with an opening plenary by Prof Dr Rob Hamer, VP Discovery, Unilever. Organised by Bridge2Food, the two-day summit will focus on how to provide protein for a growing world population. After the opening sessions, the summit will split into three tracks which will each address a different aspect of protein production. The themes are: Future supply & demand: the global agenda
Health: exploring new health domains for proteins
Technology: new technology & process contributions Grain and Feed Milling Technology’s publisher, Roger Gilbert, will be chairing the technology track on both days. Topics include keeping and adding value; managing future supply and use; protein supply challenges in growing the animal feed business in Europe. The Protein Summit 2013 is the merger of three Bridge2Food platforms, which have been successfully organised since 2008: The Protein Summit, Protein Technology innovations, and Food Protein innovations.
