09/04/2018: GEAPS 525, an online course for the management of insect pests in stored grain

Insect pests can pose a serious threat to grain quality.

GEAPS 525: Management of Insect Pests in Stored Grain will teach you the basic skills needed to make timely pest management decisions while protecting the quality of stored grain and the environment.

This online course from the GEAPS/Kansas State University Distance Education Program provides practical nonchemical and chemical methods for controlling pests.

You will learn preventative and responsive management techniques and the proper use of grain protectants and fumigation. By the end of the course, you should be able to create and evaluate your own pest management plan.

GEAPS 525 is one of four courses required for the Specialist Credential in Grain Quality Management. Three additional courses are also available in April. For more information on courses or credentials, visit the program website.
