Research into DDGS diets in growing to finishing pigs

A study carried out at Lyons research farm Ireland, look at diets containing maize dried distiller's grains with solubles, in growing-finishing pigs. The study looked at the response of growth performance, nitrogen and phosphorus excretion. The diet of the pigs was altered over time replacing wheat with DDGS and the results were monitored for growth performance, carcass characteristics, apparent nutrient digestibility, nitrogen (N) balance, phosphorus (P) balance and manure ammonia emissions.
