The three key cattle diseases genetically linked say researchers

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) researchers at the Agricultural Research Service’s Roman L. Hruska US Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, Nebraska. have determined the chromosome link for pinkeye, foot rot and pneumonia in cattle. The chromosome they are all linked too is bovine chromosome 20, Bovine respiratory disease accounts for 75 percent of feedlot illnesses and up to 70 percent of all deaths, with economic losses to cattle producers exceeding US$1 billion (€719.42446 million) annually.
