With a new government in Thailand the prices of rice climbed and that was in part because Thailand was pushing the prices up. The US department of agriculture has forecast that Thailand's rice exports will drop by 20 percent to around eight million tons in 2012. This drop in exports will be because Vietnam may well over take Thailand's as the number one global exporter. Read more ...
