Over 220 delegates attended the VIV Master Class, 'Value creation in pork production' on 14 January in Ho Chi Minh City, where Vietnamese producers learned the best practices from experts that provided them with tools and methods to increase production, reduce loss and work more efficiently.
Delegates representing swine producers have planned investments that require them to meet export market demands for the next 10 to 15 years in South-East Asia’s fastest growing economy.
Eight industry-leading experts from Biomin, De Heus, Hypor, IDEXX, Boehringer Ingelheim, SKOV and Big Dutchman gave presentations at the Master Class. Swine producers who attended were satisfied with the variety of solutions represented across the entire chain by the experts.
Biomin, De Heus and IDEXX were considered highlights by the audience as they provided valuable information about feeding, ingredients, additives and health diagnostics. Hypor presented their best swine breeds, and SKOV presented the best climate and ventilation methods, while Big Dutchman shared the best trends in housing and farming equipment.
A further VIV Best Practices class will be held at ILDEX Vietnam 2016 in the afternoon of 23 March, giving still more insights into animal nutrition, health and swine farming. Register HERE.
