On 1 March 2014, Janine T. Bohlmann, Ph.D. (46) took over the executive management of the Research Institute of the International Research Association of Feed Technology (IFF) at Braunschweig-Thune. Mrs. Bohlmann studied process engineering at TU Berlin, received her doctorate and habilitated there.
After her scientific work at the Institute for
Process Engineering at TU Berlin she received a research grant from DFG for a
post-doc-fellowship at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. A junior professorship
at the Institute for Biotechnology at TU Berlin completed the scientific career
of Mrs. Bohlmann.
Afterwards she was projector manager at W. L.
Gore & Ass. GmbH at Putzbrunn from 2004 to 2012. Process optimisation and
sustainability were focal points of her work. At last Mrs. Bohlmann was project
manager at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) at
Berlin and organised a market surveillance study on quality assurance systems
of hazardous material packaging.
Mrs. Bohlmann follows Mr. Rainer Benning, Ph.D.
(51) who was executive director since January 2012. Mr. Benning wants to
continue his academic career in the university area from which joined the IFF
in 2012.
The IFF Research Institute is the scientific centre
of the compound-feed industry and its suppliers. For more than 50 years, the
institute supports the whole industry by results from joint research projects
and contractual research as well as by manifold services and an extensive offer
of training and upgrading events.
