These conveyors are filling six SCAFCO Model 2414SHBT hopper bottom silos, each with a capacity of 558 metric tons. An expansion is currently underway which will include an extension of all conveying equipment, catwalks, and six additional 2414SHBT hopper silos.
Early SCAFCO silos still standing after many years
As far as is known, since the first SCAFCO Grain Systems silos were manufactured and sold by the company in 1961, most of them are still being utilised to store grain. Over the years there have been a number of styles of the identification sign on SCAFCO silos. Two different ones are shown here within the two photographs.
Ex-Im Bank charter renewed by US Congress
After a brief hiatus during the political process of renewing Ex-Im Bank lending authority, the bank has returned to its former status of being able to offer financial support to SCAFCO customers. SCAFCO has long been a supporter of the Ex-Im Bank financing program. In this photo, Washington State's governor and both US Senators made a visit to SCAFCO in support of the periodic charter renewal process.
