07/01/2016: GEAPS/Kansas State University February courses

Build your skills with online training from the GEAPS/Kansas State University Distance Education Program. Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned pro, these courses can help you build valuable job skills to work safely and efficiently. Registration is now open for five courses in February.

GEAPS 500: Introduction to Grain Handling Operations in English and Spanish
This course serves as an introduction to the key purposes, equipment and processes of grain-handling facilities with an emphasis on safety.

GEAPS 521: Aeration System Design and Fan Operational Management
This course teaches the basic principles of designing and operating grain aeration systems to maintain grain quality during storage.

GEAPS 530: Quality Management Systems for Bulk Materials Handling Operations
Learn about quality management systems and their uses in agricultural storage environments.

GEAPS 555: Advanced and Preventative Maintenance for Grain Facilities: Conveyance Equipment
Designed for more experienced professionals, this course helps you create a preventative maintenance program. It also prepares you to deal with common repair issues.

GEAPS 500 and 530 are both required for the Credential in Grain Operations Management (CGOM), while GEAPS 521 and 555 are both required for Specialist Credentials. For more information on the Distance Education or Credential programs, visit the GEAPS website.
